Gathering Spaces
Throughout our campus, flexible gathering spaces adapt to whatever the day inspires. From presentations and performances to hands-on workshops, guest speakers, collaborative projects, and interactive lessons, our spaces are designed to grow with our students. With digital learning technology thoughtfully integrated throughout the campus, we can seamlessly connect hands-on experiences with interactive resources, creating learning opportunities that are both rooted in the real world and connected to the wider one.
At the heart of our Living Classroom is a thriving network of community gardens and a growing food forest, where every season offers new opportunities to learn, explore, and connect with the natural world. Across our 7.5-acre campus, students experience the rhythms of nature firsthand as they plant seeds, care for growing gardens, harvest fresh produce, observe wildlife, and discover the remarkable relationships between healthy soil, plants, pollinators, and people. Learning here is hands-on and ever-changing. A lesson might begin by identifying native plants, testing soil, or observing insects, then naturally grow into conversations about ecology, sustainability, nutrition, history, or stewardship. As the campus changes with the seasons, so do the learning opportunities. More than a garden, this is a place where curiosity takes root, responsibility grows, and students experience the joy of caring for something larger than themselves. Every visit is an invitation to slow down, look closely, and discover that some of life's greatest lessons are growing all around us.
The kitchen is one of the heartbeats of our campus, where learning naturally brings people together. More than a place to prepare food, it's a space where students gather to cook, bake, create, experiment, and share around the table. Recipes become lessons in math and science. Ingredients become conversations about nutrition, agriculture, history, and cultures from around the world. Preparing a meal becomes an opportunity to practice teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and confidence. Whether baking bread, preserving a harvest from the garden, exploring foods from another country, or developing products for Made to Market, every experience connects learning to everyday life. Above all, our Teaching Kitchen reminds us that food has always been about more than what's on the plate. It tells stories, builds community, celebrates traditions, and brings people together. Around this table, conversation flows as naturally as learning, curiosity is always welcome, and every student has a place.

Surrounded by shelves of stories and ideas, our library is an active learning space where curiosity takes center stage. Whether students are researching, collaborating, creating, or diving deeper into a lesson, it's a place that encourages thoughtful exploration and a lifelong love of learning.
Sometimes the best learning begins with a conversation. Our hospitality room offers a welcoming space for small group discussions, collaborative projects, independent work, or simply a quiet moment to recharge. It's a place where ideas are shared, friendships are strengthened, and everyone has room to belong.
